Caring for Leather

Feed it, rest it, keep it from the sun: what a good bag needs to last twenty years.

Feed it, rest it, keep it from the sun: what a good bag needs to last twenty years.

Begin with proportion

A wardrobe that lasts is built on proportion before colour or fabric. A soft shoulder over a high waist, a long line over a narrow shoe: get the shapes right and the rest follows quietly.

Fewer, better pieces

We would rather you owned one blazer you wear three times a week than five you are unsure of. Every piece we make is meant to be worn often and repaired when it needs it.

What to keep in mind

  • Choose natural fibres: wool, silk, cashmere, leather.
  • Keep to a small palette and let texture do the talking.
  • Tailor what you love; alterations are part of the price of good clothes.
  • Rest wool and leather a day between wears.
Quiet by design. Lasting by intention.
